— hi, I'm Jessica
my story
Living, anyway.
In April 2024, my life changed when I was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer.
Like anyone would be, I was scared. I spent nearly a month in the hospital, faced treatments and challenges I never expected, and had to learn how to navigate a completely different life than the one I had planned.
But somewhere along the way, I realized something important: I could spend my days focused on what cancer had taken from me, or I could focus on all the life that was still waiting to be lived.
So I chose to live.
I went back to college and earned my degree in History and Philosophy from Bradley University. I studied abroad in Rome, stood in places I had only read about in history books, and began saying "yes" to experiences I once thought I might never have.
Today, I share that journey here — through travel, education, personal reflections, and the everyday moments that remind me how beautiful life can still be.
Thank you for being here. Whether you've followed my journey for years or you're just finding me today, I'm grateful you're here.
I'm Jessica, and this is my journey of living anyway.
